Biography
Kraglin is a James Gunn original, created for Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 as Yondu's loyal and profoundly unimpressive first mate, and quietly built into the trilogy's most satisfying arc. He mutinied against his captain, regretted it instantly, and spent the next two films trying to earn back a respect Yondu was never able to voice.
The Yaka arrow is the whole character. Yondu's fin and arrow pass to Kraglin after Vol. 2, and his repeated failures to control it are played for laughs until Vol. 3, when he finally masters the whistle and becomes the Ravager captain Yondu was pretending to be. He is proof that the MCU's cosmic corner can build a character out of nothing but a running gag and patience.
