Biography
Cindy Moon was standing next to Peter Parker when the radioactive spider bit them both. Ezekiel Sims found her first, told her that a multiversal predator called Morlun would hunt any spider-totem it could sense, and locked her in a windowless bunker for her own protection. She stayed for thirteen years. Peter let her out in 2014, and Silk is the story of a woman with elite powers, no adolescence, and a family she has to find from scratch.
The powers are notably sharper than Peter's — a stronger spider-sense she calls silk-sense, and organic webbing produced from her fingertips, which she can spin into ropes, nets and clothing. Robbie Thompson and Stacey Lee's solo run leaned into the anxiety honestly: agoraphobia, therapy, a missing family, and a job at the Fact Channel under J. Jonah Jameson. She has since anchored Spider-Verse events, joined the Agents of Atlas, and headlined her own limited series as one of Marvel's most fully-formed 2010s additions.

Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos introduced Cindy Moon in Amazing Spider-Man #1 (2014) as part of Original Sin, revealing her as Silk in #4 and immediately making her central to Spider-Verse, where the Inheritors hunted her as the Spider-Bride.
Robbie Thompson and Stacey Lee's Silk (2015-2017) is her defining run — a genuinely thoughtful book about reintegration, therapy and family. She later joined the Agents of Atlas under Greg Pak, headlined further limited series, and a live-action Silk: Spider Society series was developed for Sony's television slate.
