Biography
Lockjaw is a two-thousand-pound bulldog with an antenna on his forehead who can teleport himself and anyone touching him across continents, into other dimensions, and — at his limit — across interstellar distances. He is the Inhuman Royal Family's transport system, Crystal's constant companion, and the reason a species living in a hidden city can reach Earth whenever the plot requires it.
Marvel has flirted repeatedly with the idea that he is a Terrigen-transformed Inhuman rather than a dog, and has always walked it back — the current position is that he is exactly what he appears to be, a very large, very loyal animal with a spectacular gift. He led the Pet Avengers, has carried the Royal Family through every major Inhuman story since 1965, and remains one of the few Marvel characters nobody has ever tried to make edgy.

Comics history
Lockjaw debuted alongside the Royal Family in Fantastic Four #45 (1965) and has been a constant in Inhuman stories since. Chris Eliopoulos and Ig Guara's Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers (2009) gave him a starring role leading a team of Marvel animals on an Infinity Gem hunt, and he has appeared in Inhumans, Ms. Marvel and Marvel's Inhumans, where he was one of the few universally praised elements.
