Biography
Kirby's Druig is the nastiest Eternal on the board: a Polar Eternal, cousin to Ikaris and son of Valkin, who used his mind-control powers in service of Cold War intelligence work because he enjoyed the cruelty. Where the Olympian Eternals debated their responsibilities, Druig simply took what he wanted from anyone's head, which made him the closest thing Kirby's series had to an internal villain.
The 2021 film rebuilt him almost entirely. Barry Keoghan's Druig is a disillusioned pacifist who walks away from the Eternals after centuries of watching humanity slaughter itself, and builds a protected community in the Amazon where nobody can hurt anyone because he will not let them. It is a far more interesting use of mind control: an Eternal who solved war by removing free will and calls it kindness.

Comics history
Druig appeared in Kirby's Eternals as a Polar Eternal working with Soviet intelligence, using mind control for interrogation and enjoying it, and Kirby played him as a genuine threat from within the pantheon. Later stories continued his adversarial relationship with Ikaris and his family line, and Kieron Gillen's relaunch treated him as one of the Eternals' most morally interesting figures.
